AEBTRI explained the serious problems faced by road hauliers in France due to loi Macron to the French Embassy and European Commission Representation in Bulgaria and delivered the Joint RESOLUTION against loi MACRON and protectionist measures in road transport addressed to Mr. Jean–Claude Juncker, President of the European Commission and to Mr. François Hollande – President of France by ANTRAM (Portugal), ASTIC (Spain), AEBTRI (Bulgaria), CESMAD BOHEMIA (Czech Republic), CESMAD Slovakia (Slovakia), ERAA (Estonia), LATVIJAS AUTO (Latvia), LINAVA (Lithuania), MKFE (Hungary) UNTRR (Romania) and ZMPD (Poland).

UNTRR’ petition sent to the European Parliament against the minimum wage in Germany (MiLoG)

Dear Mr. President of the European Parliament,

On behalf of the National Union of Road Hauliers from Romania (UNTRR), employers and professional organization that promotes and protects the interests of national and international Romanian road transport operators freight and persons, we want to inform you on the abusevly provisions of the new law to regulate the minimum wage the economy in Germany (MiLoG), as it is imposed also to carriers from other Member States for any activity by their drivers in Germany. Dear Mr. President of the European Parliament,

On behalf of the National Union of Road Hauliers from Romania (UNTRR) – employers’ professional organization which promotes nationally and internationally the interests of Romanian transport companies performing road transport of passengers and goods,

We would like to inform you hereby concerning the protest action to be organized by UNTRR Romania together with our colleague associations from Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland on 25 March 2015, from 14h00 to 16h00 in front of the European Parliament in Brussels, at Place du Luxemburg. We will protest against neo-protectionism in European road transport, asking for European Parliament’s support to urgently cancel the application of German minimum wage law – MiLoG and the similar French law draft – Macron to the road transport companies from our countries. UNTRR’s actions against the application of the minimum wage in Germany

The National Union of Road Hauliers from Romania – UNTRR- made numerous interventions to Romanian, German and European authorities, and to the relevant national and international institutions:

– requesting clarification on the enforcement of the minimum wage law in Germany to foreign carriers (Romanians);

– calling for urgent action to avoid penalizing abusively the Romanian road transport operators by the German authorities as of 1st January 2015, due to non-apllication of the German minimum wage law;

– indicating the seriousness of the recent measures taken by Germany, which affect the freedom of services in the European market and warning that the enforcement of such measures pushes Europe on a path of neoprotectionism which ultimately will affect its overall competitiveness over other global competitors.
